By accessing our website at pacificgrovemasonry.com, submitting a contact or estimate request, or entering into a service agreement with Pacific Grove Masonry, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
These terms apply to all visitors to our website and to all customers who engage us for masonry services in Pacific Grove, CA and the surrounding service area.
Pacific Grove Masonry provides professional masonry contracting services including, but not limited to, foundation repair, chimney repair, tuckpointing, brick repair, retaining wall construction, stone masonry, fireplace installation, and related work. Services are provided in Pacific Grove, CA and the surrounding Monterey Peninsula communities.
All work is performed by or under the supervision of licensed and insured professionals. The specific scope, materials, and methods for each project are documented in a written estimate or contract provided before work begins.
All estimates provided by Pacific Grove Masonry are free of charge and carry no obligation. An estimate represents our good-faith assessment of the work required based on what was visible and accessible at the time of the site visit. Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date they are issued unless stated otherwise in writing.
Unforeseen conditions discovered once work begins - such as hidden structural damage, code compliance requirements, or materials that differ from what was initially visible - may require a change to the original estimate. We will notify you in writing before proceeding with any work that changes the agreed price. We will not perform work that increases the contract amount without your written approval.
Pricing does not include permit fees unless explicitly stated in the written estimate. Permit costs, if applicable, are passed through to the client at cost.
Once a project is scheduled, we ask that you provide at least 48 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice may result in a fee to cover crew scheduling and material preparation costs already incurred. Any applicable cancellation fee will be stated in the project agreement.
We reserve the right to reschedule work due to weather conditions that would affect the quality or safety of the project. We will notify you as early as possible and work with you to find a suitable alternative date.
Payment terms are outlined in the project agreement or invoice. In general, a deposit may be required before work begins on larger projects, with the remaining balance due upon completion. The specific payment schedule will be stated in writing before any work starts.
Invoices not paid within the agreed payment period may be subject to a late fee. If a balance remains unpaid after 30 days, we reserve the right to pursue collection through available legal means. Accepted payment methods will be listed in the project agreement.
To allow us to complete your project safely and on schedule, you agree to:
Delays or additional costs caused by failure to meet these responsibilities may be charged to the client.
Any warranty on completed work will be stated in the project agreement. Where a warranty is provided, it covers defects in materials and workmanship for the period specified. Warranties do not cover damage caused by events outside the scope of our work, including but not limited to: natural disasters, seismic activity, flooding, accidents, vandalism, or modifications made by others after project completion.
Our website and any informational content on it are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pacific Grove Masonry shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of our website or our services. Our total liability for any claim related to a project shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for that project.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for personal injury, death, or property damage caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

If a dispute arises from these terms or from a service we provided, we ask that you contact us first at sales@pacificgrovemasonry.com or (831) 340-7326 so that we have the opportunity to resolve it directly. Most issues can be resolved quickly through direct communication.
If we are unable to resolve the dispute informally, both parties agree to attempt resolution through mediation before pursuing litigation. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking emergency injunctive relief.
