Pacific Grove Masonry was founded in 2016 right here on the Monterey Peninsula. We started because the area needed a masonry contractor who understood local conditions - the salt air off the bay, the older Victorian homes near the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary, the clay soils that move with every wet season. A contractor from out of the area might fix what is visible. We fix what is actually wrong.
Pacific Grove covers just over three square miles, but it holds some of the most distinctive older homes in California. A large share were built before 1960, when foundation standards, mortar mixes, and construction methods were entirely different from today. Working on these homes requires patience, knowledge of older materials, and genuine respect for the character of the building. That is what we bring to every job.
